ABVP takes out 100 meter long tricolor march on Kargil Vijay Diwas, pays tribute to martyrs
Jammu. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Metropolitan organized a 100 meter long tricolor march in memory of the martyrs of Kargil war on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
The yatra started from Vidyarthi Bhawan, Karan Nagar, which again reached Vidyarthi Bhawan via Kachchi Cantonment Road, where tributes were paid to the immortal martyrs.
During the program, ABVP workers, students and youth held the tricolor in their hands and raised patriotic slogans and paid tribute to the courage and patriotism of the soldiers who made supreme sacrifice in the Kargil war.
Organization Ken Pad Adhikar said that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a symbol of bravery, national unity and integrity of the Indian Army and this day reminds of the sacrifice of the brave soldiers of the country.
Addressing the gathering, ABVP Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh State Secretary Sanak Srivastava said that Kargil Vijay Diwas is an immortal story of courage, dedication and service to the nation of the Indian Armed Forces.
He called upon the youth to adopt the spirit of ‘Nation First’ and take active participation in nation building and social service.
He said that the participation of youth in Tiranga Yatras across the country shows their commitment towards national unity and integrity.
Jammu Metropolitan Minister Janvi Dogra said that the sacrifice of the immortal heroes of Kargil will always inspire the countrymen. He called upon the youth to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and national unity by keeping national interest paramount.
On this occasion, ABVP reiterated its demand for transparency in competitive examinations and improvement in the education system and said that the issues of students should be resolved in a democratic and constructive manner.
The organization also said that student movements should not be used for any anti-national agenda and no compromise with the honor of the Indian Army can be accepted.
At the end of the program, the students and youth present took a pledge to remain dedicated to the unity, integrity and national interest of the country and follow the ideals of the brave martyrs of Kargil.
