Prayagraj: Physical examination of railway recruitment continues, 3736 candidates will appear till 29th July.

Prayagraj. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of the candidates successful in the written examination for recruitment to various posts is being conducted by Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Allahabad from 25 to 29 July at DSA Ground, Prayagraj.

A total of 3736 candidates will participate in this examination. To keep the entire recruitment process fair and transparent, videography of the examination is also being done. This information was given by UMRA Public Relations Officer Amit Malviya on Sunday.

He told that in PET the candidates have to complete 1000 meters race within 4 minutes 15 seconds. Apart from this, one has to lift 35 kg weight and cover a distance of 100 meters within 2 minutes. It is mandatory to meet both the standards to reach the next stage.

Candidates participated in the examination with enthusiasm in the first two days. On July 25, 480 candidates and on July 26, 928 candidates appeared for the physical examination. The examination of the remaining candidates will be conducted as per the schedule till July 29.

Before the examination, the documents and identity cards of all the candidates are being thoroughly checked. After this they are being given all the necessary instructions related to the examination. The objective of Railways is to select eligible candidates by completing the entire recruitment process in a fair, transparent and systematic manner.

The physical efficiency test is being conducted under the guidance of Additional Divisional Railway Manager (General) Deepak Kumar, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Vaibhav Kumar Gupta and Assistant Personnel Officer Rupesh Kumar Suman.

Adequate number of Railway officers and employees have been deployed to maintain security and discipline at the examination venue and the entire process is being continuously monitored.

For the convenience of the candidates, arrangements for drinking water, fans, coolers, tents and clean toilets have been made at the examination venue. Besides, doctors, paramedical staff and ambulances have also been made available to deal with any emergency.
