Antara Banerjee said, “I have been in shock since then. I had no idea why it happened. Yesterday I found out during the day. I got a lot of calls, a lot of messages from my family and friends and they were all asking 'Are you okay? Are you okay?' I had no idea. When I opened a message, there was a photo of me in which all these things were written and then I came to know that all this is on the internet. She further said that obviously, what could I do at that time? I was in shock, and that's still the case. This is a very mentally disturbing incident that unfortunately happened.
The actress said that I think not only because my mother's health is not good, but if any parent hears such a thing about their child, especially when the child is outside, then it is a matter of concern. My mom got nervous and was like, 'What is happening?' Meaning where is it coming from, what news is this? He had no idea. Banerjee said that my father lives in Kolkata. He said, 'Let's just come, sit together and see what's happening.' That's when I and my team decided that there was no need for him to come here right now. We see what we can do, what next step we can take.
She said that I have just come to find out that whatever things have happened are wrong and they should be removed immediately, so that no one's image is tarnished. This is not a matter of publicity at all. So you guys please don't look at this thing in that way. Our next step will be legal because, apart from that, we have no other option left. The actress said that I want to appeal to everyone, to all the media persons, that before posting any news, before posting any photo of anyone, before using it, you should verify and re-verify. It is irresponsible not to take such action.
