Awarapan 2': Emraan Hashmi's film 'Awarapan 2' is performing brilliantly at the box office. To celebrate this huge success of the film, a grand success party was organized, in which the film's co-star Disha Patani was seen stealing the limelight of the entire gathering. A video of 34-year-old actress Disha Patani from a party is going viral on social media, in which she is seen dancing to Katrina Kaif's famous song 'Sheela Ki Jawani'. The celebration became even more special when the film successfully crossed the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide.
Disha Patani's dance moves won hearts at the success party
In the video surfaced on the internet, Disha Patani is seen creating excitement on the dance floor. She is dancing on the iconic track 'Sheela Ki Jawaani' from the 2010 film 'Tees Maar Khan', which is still counted among Katrina Kaif's best dance numbers. The guests and crew members present at the party were seen continuously clapping and encouraging Disha after seeing her amazing steps. For the special occasion, Disha wore a halter-neck dress with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit, which she paired with minimal makeup, matching earrings and a simple hair bun.
Film made with a budget of Rs 45 crore: profit of more than 200%
Made with a limited budget of just Rs 45 crore, 'Awarapan 2' has surprised everyone by earning more than 200 percent profit at the box office. This film, which released in theaters on the Independence Day weekend, had a clash with 'Batwara 1947'. The film took a spectacular opening of Rs 22 crore on the very first day. After this, there was a big jump in the second day's earnings and the film did a business of Rs 33.75 crore. By the end of the first week, the film had made a total net collection of Rs 113.50 crore at the domestic box office and a worldwide gross business of Rs 161.67 crore.
Box office collection and upcoming challenges
The film maintained its strong hold in theaters even in its second week. After earning Rs 5.75 crore on the eighth day, Rs 8.25 crore on the ninth day and Rs 8.75 crore on the tenth day, its earnings saw a slight decline on the eleventh day and it collected Rs 2.75 crore. However, due to cheaper ticket rates, the film regained momentum on the second Tuesday and collected Rs 4 crore, taking its total net collection in India to Rs 143 crore.
The film's global business has reached Rs 201.45 crore, which includes India's gross collection of Rs 170.15 crore and overseas collections of Rs 31.30 crore. Although 'Batwara 1947' could not do much at the box office, but due to 'Hanuman Ansh' and actor Yash's upcoming film 'Toxic', 'Awarapan 2' may have to face shortage of screens and tough competition in the theaters in the coming days. Puran Gabbi, Shabana Azmi and Suvinder Vicky have also played important roles in this film.
