New Delhi. There are signs of weakness from the global market today. US markets closed with losses during the last session. Dow Johns Futures also seems to be trading with weakness today.
European markets were successful in closing on a strong note during the previous session. Whereas there is generally selling pressure in the Asian market today.
Wall Street indices closed under pressure during the previous session due to fears of another interest rate hike in the US.
The S&P 500 index closed at 7,711.76 points with a weakness of 0.25 percent. Similarly, Nasdaq fell 138.93 points or 0.52 percent and ended the last session’s trading at the level of 26,402.42 points.
At the same time, Dow Johns Futures is currently seen trading at the level of 53,409.77 points, down by 150.22 points or 0.28 percent.
Unlike the US market, the European markets traded strongly during the last session. There was no movement in the FTSE index during the previous session, but the CAC index closed at 8,401.18 points with a rise of 0.97 percent.
Similarly, the DAX index ended the last session’s trading at the level of 26,569.99 points with a gain of 202.75 points or 0.76 percent.
There is generally selling pressure in the Asian market today. The indices of seven out of nine markets in Asia are trading in the red with a decline, while two indices remain firmly in the green.
The Straits Times Index is trading at 5,724.79 points with a rise of 0.44 percent. Similarly, the SET Composite Index has reached the level of 1,591.55 points with an increase of 0.21 percent.
On the other hand, GIFT Nifty has fallen to the level of 24,209 points with a weakness of 103 points or 0.42 percent. Similarly, Jakarta Composite Index declined by 0.40 percent to reach the level of 6,492.16 points.
A big fall has been recorded in the Kospi index today. At present this index has fallen by 90.74 points or 1.34 percent to the level of 6,698.14 points.
Taiwan Weighted Index is also showing strong weakness today. At present this index has slipped by 612.63 points or 1.32 percent to the level of 45,718.82 points.
Similarly, Nikkei index has fallen by 730.56 points or 1.10 percent and has reached the level of 65,675 points. Apart from this, Hang Seng Index is seen trading at the level of 25,414 points with a decline of 170.79 points or 0.67 percent and Shanghai Composite Index is seen trading at the level of 3,944.46 points with a weakness of 0.20 percent.
