New Delhi: People of many states of the country including Eastern UP and Bihar are not going to get relief for the next 36 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be torrential rains in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. There may be rain in East Madhya Pradesh during 2 to 4 September and in Western Madhya Pradesh during 3 to 5 September.
Rain alert with strong winds here
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on September 2. At the same time, there are chances of rain in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab also on Wednesday. There are chances of rain with thunderstorm in Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
There is a possibility of rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from September 2-5. There is a possibility of rain in Gujarat, Konkan, Maharashtra, Marathwada and Goa. There is also a rain alert in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Telangana. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 km/hour.
Yellow alert in Himachal
Shimla weather center has issued a yellow alert on Tuesday, warning of heavy rain in parts of Kangra, Mandi and Sirmaur districts till September 3. Officials said light to heavy rainfall occurred at some places during the 24 hours from Monday evening, while thunderstorms and lightning were reported in Kangra, Jot, Murari Devi and Sundernagar.
Flood warning for 10 districts of Jharkhand
The weather department has issued a flash flood warning for 10 districts of Jharkhand as heavy rain lashed many parts of the state on Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), a flash flood warning has been issued for Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti, Seraikela-Kharsawan, West and East Singhbhum and Simdega districts till Wednesday morning. The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather and heavy rains in the state till September 5.
The department has issued a ‘red’ alert for very heavy rain in Garhwa, Palamu, Simdega and West Singhbhum districts and an ‘orange’ alert for Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts till Wednesday morning. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the north-western districts – Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra and Latehar on Wednesday. Similar weather conditions are likely to prevail in many parts of the state on Thursday and Friday.
