Two people traveling in a car died on the spot after it met with an accident at high speed in Bhuiyankhati area of Udalguri district.
Police said on Wednesday that a car went out of control and crashed into a concrete wall in Bhuiyankhati area of the district last night, due to which two people died on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Himanshu Sahariya and Manas Kakati. Deceased Manas was a teacher, while Himanshu was a businessman.
Both are said to be residents of Ramgaon in Shipajhar. Meanwhile, another person traveling in the car has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. The police have registered an FIR in this regard and are investigating the matter.
