The SIT of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is investigating the JSSC-CGL competitive examination irregularities case, has arrested one more accused on Monday. The team has arrested Patna resident Rajan Kumar.
He took many JSSC-CGL candidates to a hotel in Niamatpur, West Bengal and made them memorize the questions and answers of the exam.
Through this process, many candidates were given unfair advantage in the examination and some of them were also successful in the examination.
Rajan is accused of playing the role of a middleman in the case. Rajan Kumar’s name had come up during the interrogation of the accused and some candidates already arrested in the case. On the basis of information and technical evidence received during interrogation, CID had started investigation into his role.
During the investigation, SIT arrested Rajan Kumar after finding clues that he was connected to the case. After the arrest, the CID team is interrogating him.
The inquiry is expected to yield information about other people and the entire network associated with the examination controversy. This case is related to CID police station case number 01/2025.
