Mumbai There was a head-on collision between a truck and Tata Magic on Thursday evening in Sitakhandi area near Wakad village on Nanded-Bhokar Highway in Nanded district of Maharashtra.
Six people traveling in vehicles died in the accident while eight people were seriously injured. All the injured have been admitted to government hospitals in Bhokar and Nanded.
There is a possibility of the death toll increasing as the condition of some of them is serious. The team of Nanded Rural Police is investigating this incident.
The police officer investigating this incident said that this evening a truck was going from Bhokar towards Nanded. Meanwhile, the Tata Magic vehicle coming from the front collided with the truck.
Tata Magic was badly damaged in this incident. There were a total of 15 passengers in Tata Magic. In this incident, 6 passengers died on the spot, while eight people were injured.
Hearing the sound of the accident, nearby villagers immediately reached the spot and informed the police. After this, police and ambulance reached the spot and the injured were taken to the hospital.
Due to the collision, the front part of the truck was also badly damaged. The truck driver is trapped in the cabin, a rescue operation is being conducted to rescue him. This incident is being thoroughly investigated.
