PU Sonal got second position in CSIR-UGC NET

The students and young researchers of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur have performed brilliantly in the joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination. Pro. Six candidates associated with Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) Institute of Physical Science Studies and Research have secured notable ranks at the national level in JRF and NET.

M.Sc. in Earth and Planetary Sciences Geology student Sonal Shukla secured second rank in the country in JRF. Ananya Pandey got 29th rank in this subject. Rajju Bhaiya Institute alumnus Suraj Prajapati secured 79th rank in CSIR-JRF in Chemistry. He is currently doing research under the DST-PURSE project at the Center for Nanoscience and Technology of the university.

Praveen Kumar Prajapati secured 118th rank in NET in Physics. In Mathematical Sciences, Pradum Kumar Sharma got 122nd rank in CSIR-JRF and Anant Chaudhary got 106th rank in NET. Vice Chancellor Prof. R.K. Singh congratulated the successful candidates. He said that this success of students in various science subjects reflects the university’s strong research culture, quality teaching, modern research facilities and better academic guidance. He said that the success in the national level examination has strengthened the academic and research identity of the university and other students will also be inspired to move forward in the field of higher education and research.
