There were massive explosions in the early hours of Monday in Al-Eis in the southern rural area of Aleppo in northern Syria. The first blast occurred at a military base near Al-Eis.
Even after that, explosions continued to occur in the area. It is being told that these blasts were carried out in the ammunition depot of the Syrian Defense Ministry.
This information was given in the reports of Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Syrian state television Al-Ikhbariya and Anadolu Agency.
Aleppo civil defense operations chief Faisal Mohammed Ali said emergency and rescue teams had difficulty reaching the site due to the series of blasts, according to the report.
The blasts took place at an ammunition depot of the Syrian Defense Ministry. The actual cause of the blasts is still under investigation.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said initial information suggested the blasts occurred at an ammunition depot near al-Iqarda.
Details are being collected. Quoting local sources, it was said that these blasts affected six missile storage places in the area.
