Raipur. Raipur District Administration’s ‘Project Green Palana’ initiative is linking the joy of motherhood with the resolve of greenery. Under this innovative effort going on as per the wish of Chief Minister Sai, fruit plants are being gifted to the pregnant mothers after delivery in government hospitals, so that with the arrival of a new life, a new tree is also born on the earth.
Under this campaign in Raipur district under the guidance of Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, various health centers of the district like Urban Primary Health Center Hirapur – 01, M.CH. 40 fruit plants were presented to a total of 08 expectant mothers including Kalibari – 01, Abhanpur – 01, Changorabhatha – 01, Tilda – 01, Birgaon, Mova – 01.
Till now, under this scheme, a total of 68,720 saplings have been gifted to 13,744 expectant mothers. Each mother is being given 5-5 saplings which include nutritious fruit species like mango, guava, drumstick (drumstick), papaya and amla.
Project Green Palna is not just plant distribution, but it is a dual idea of respecting motherhood and preserving nature. This effort is creating both a greener and more sensitive society for future generations.
