Weather: Rain and storm alert in these states today, October 3

New Delhi. Today, the seasonal cycle remains active in the states of Northeast and South India amid the withdrawal of monsoon winds. According to the latest forecast released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for Saturday, October 3, rain, storm and humid weather will be seen in different parts of the country. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of torrential rain in the hilly state of Arunachal Pradesh in northeastern India, while it has warned of strong storm winds with a speed of 50 kilometers per hour in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in South India.

Fear of heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh
According to the bulletin of the Meteorological Department, the impact of cloud movement and rain will be maximum in the North-Eastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh on October 3. There is a strong possibility of heavy rain at different places in the state. Along with this, lightning and loud thunder have been predicted at different places in various districts of other northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Winds will blow at a speed of 40 km/hour in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Bengal.
There will be seasonal disturbances in other coastal and eastern states of the country also. There is a possibility of winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour along with lightning in coastal and interior Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Strong surface winds will continue throughout the day in the plains and coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh. At the same time, the weather is expected to remain extremely hot and humid at different places in coastal Maharashtra i.e. Konkan and Goa region of Western India.

Relief for fishermen, situation in the sea under control
Despite strong gusty winds in coastal areas, conditions within the sea are expected to remain favourable. According to the India Meteorological Department, there is no danger of any major cyclonic pressure or storm in the sea on October 3. For this reason, no warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department for fishermen not to go into the sea, and marine activities can continue normally.
