Supaul. There was a sensation in the area after the dead body of a youth was found hanging from a tree in Sisauni of Nadi police station area on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Shiv Kumar Mandal (22), resident of Bathnaha village of Phulparas police station area of Madhubani district.
The young man was living at his sister’s house in Sisauni for the last one month. According to the villagers, some people had come out of their houses to defecate on Monday morning. Meanwhile, his eyes fell on the dead body of a young man hanging from a tree.
After this, nearby people were informed and the police was also informed. On receiving the information, Nadi police station reached the spot, took down the body from the tree and started investigation.
In the preliminary investigation, marks of rope were found on the neck of the young man along with injury marks on his body. At the same time, it has also come to light that the feet of the dead body were close to the ground.
According to the police, two days before the incident the youth had a dispute with a neighbor and was also beaten up. For this reason the police is investigating all aspects of the incident.
It is not yet clear whether the youth’s death was murder or suicide. The family members have alleged that the neighbors murdered the youth and hanged the body from a tree. However, the police is waiting for the post mortem report.
The actual cause of death will be clearly known only after the report comes. Nadi Police Station President Sumit Kumar said that at around 7:30 am on Monday morning, information was received about the body of the youth hanging from a tree.
Police reached the spot and investigated. Wound marks were found on the neck of the deceased. The process of sending the body for post-mortem is being done. The police is investigating the case keeping all the points in mind.
