New Delhi. A golden opportunity has emerged for those interested in getting a job in the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), a premier maritime armed force of India. Actually, ICG has issued an official notification inviting applications for the appointment of eligible candidates to various 365 posts including Sailor (General Duty).
The 365 vacancies released by the Indian Coast Guard include 234 posts of Sailor (General Duty)-Male, 26 of Sailor (General Duty)-Female, 28 of Yantrik (Mechanical), 23 of Yantrik (Electrical), 9 of Yantrik (Electronics), 25 of Sailor (Domestic Branch) and 20 posts of Hygienist-I.
The application process for all these posts through online has started from 11 am on October 6 and the last date to apply has been fixed till October 21. Candidates willing to fill the application form can visit the official website of Indian Coast Guard and complete their registration process successfully on or before 5.30 pm on the last date.
Candidates applying should have 12th pass with Maths and Physics for Sailor (General Duty), 10th pass for Sailor (Domestic Branch), Matriculation or ITI (Industrial Training Institute) or its equivalent qualification for Hygienist-I, 10th pass for Mechanical and Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunications from a recognized Board/Institute/University. 3 or 4 years Diploma in (Radio/Power) Engineering or 10th and 12th pass with 2 or 3 years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering.
While filling the application form, candidates will have to pay the prescribed application fee through online mode, which has been fixed at Rs 500. However, candidates coming from SC/ST category have been given exemption in registration fees.
Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Basic Identity and Biometric Verification, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Assessment and Adaptability Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination, after which the salary of the selected candidates will be between Rs 29,200 for Mechanical and Rs 21,700 for all other posts per month. Apart from this, other benefits and allowances will also be given to the candidates.
