Rohtas. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed astronomy laboratory at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya located in Karup Panchayat of Sivasagar block of Rohtas district.
During this, the Chief Minister interacted with the students present there and saw the new science models made by the students. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of developmental schemes worth Rs 400 crore.
The Chief Minister said that continuous work is being done on the development of infrastructure including roads, irrigation and drainage in Bihar.
He said that in today’s program, development schemes worth more than Rs 400 crore were inaugurated and works related to drainage were dedicated to the public.
He said that in the construction of Banaras-Ranchi road, the proposal to develop the road by cutting from inside the mountain has also been approved.
In his address after inaugurating the three-day long Seva Setu Abhiyan and Sahyog Camp, the Chief Minister said that by developing the tourist places of this region, the target is to increase the number of tourists coming here from about 50 thousand to 5 lakh in the next five years.
Underlining the historical and cultural importance of Rohtas, the Chief Minister said that the new township to be built here will be named Rohtas.
The Chief Minister said that ‘Sahayog camps are being organized twice a month, while ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’ is being run for three days, from 6th to 8th October.
He called upon Jeevika Didis and officials to go from village to village to solve the problems of the people and said that there will be development with justice. Work will be done with everyone in the spirit of everyone’s development.
The Chief Minister said that there are many important tourist places in Rohtas and surrounding areas including Maa Tarachandi Temple, Gupta Dham, Maa Tutla Bhavani Gham, Yakshini Bhavani Dham and Chaurasan Dham.
Various departments including tourism, forest, irrigation and water resources departments have been deployed for the development of these areas. He said that at present about 50 thousand people visit these places.
The government’s effort is to increase this number to at least 5 lakh in the next five years.
