Mumbai The entire country is in mourning due to the demise of veteran Indian actor Nana Patekar. 75-year-old Nana passed away early today in Panaji, Goa. Bollywood stars paid tribute to him on social media. The last rites of Smriti Nana Patekar will be performed with full state honors in Pune.

Akshay Kumar shared an old picture with Nana Patekar from the film 'Welcome' and remembered him. He wrote that Nana was one of those select artists who did not need to do much to mesmerize the audience. His voice, energy and honesty in acting made him stand out. Apart from 'Welcome', Akshay also recently shared the memory of working with Nana in 'Housefull 5'.

Expressing deep shock over Nana's demise, Riteish Deshmukh described him as an unmatched actor. He said that Nana had his own unique style and he made a special place in the hearts of people with his acting. Riteish also shared memories of working with him in 'Bluffmaster' and 'Housefull 5'. Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mukesh Chhabra also paid tribute remembering Nana.

Director Ram Gopal Varma, remembering Nana, mentioned his contribution in films like 'Ab Tak Chhappan' and 'Bhoot'. Actress Khushboo Sundar described his demise as extremely shocking and said that it was an honor and privilege for her to work with Nana. Actor Prakash Raj also paid tribute to him with an emotional message.

Anupam Kher also expressed grief over the demise of Nana Patekar. He told that he is currently in Washington DC and after finishing his play, he got the news of his friend Nana's demise. He described this news as very sad. Actor Sunny Deol said that he still cannot believe that Nana is not among him. He told that both of them never worked together, but their relationship was special for many years. Sunny described Nana as a fearless and lively person and said that he will always remember him in this way.

Sunil Shetty also paid tribute to Nana and said that it is difficult to find a person like him again. Praising Nana's simplicity, staying connected to his roots and outspoken style, he wrote that Nana was only one and there would be no one else like him. As per Nana Patekar's last wish, his last rites will be performed at his farm house in Pune. He will be given a final farewell with state honours. Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar said that the Maharashtra government led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has decided to perform the last rites of Nana Patekar with state honours. This decision has been taken in view of his remarkable contribution to Marathi theater as well as Marathi and Hindi cinema.

During interrogation, the miscreants revealed themselves to be residents of Khakhreru in Fatehpur district. All three criminals have confessed to the robbery of a bullion trader. The jewelery looted in the incident and the Apache bike, pistol and cartridges used in the incident have been recovered.
