DAHV Recruitment 2026: Vacancy for 72 posts of Field Assistant/Enumerator, applications will start soon

Dispur, 9 October. A golden opportunity has emerged for people looking for jobs. Actually, Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine (DAHV), Assam has announced vacancies by issuing an official notification for the appointment of eligible candidates to a total of 72 posts of Field Assistant (Statistics)/Enumerator under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme ‘Integrated Sample Survey’ (ISS).

Among the 72 vacancies released by DAHV-Assam for Field Assistant (Statistics)/Enumerator posts, 37 are for open category (11 for women-RFW), 18 for OBC/MOB (6 for RFW), 1 for OBC tea tribe and tribal community, 5 for SC (2 for RFW), 1 for ST (P) K7 (2 of RFW), K4 reserved for ST(H) (1 of RFW), K3 reserved for PwBD (1 of Blindness and Low Vision PH-A, 1 of Deafness and Hard of Hearing PH-B and Locomotor Disability etc. 1 of PH-C) and 2 posts of Ex-Servicemen.

The application process through online mode for 72 posts of Field Assistant (Statistics)/Enumerator will start from 11 am on October 15 and the last date to apply has been fixed till November 14. In such a situation, the candidates who want to fill the application form to be appointed to these posts can successfully complete their registration process on or before the last date after the application link for the respective post is activated on the official website of DAHV-Assam.

Candidates applying must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institute or university with at least one paper in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Social Science, Sociology or Psychology at graduation level, or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50 marks in Mathematics in class 12th. Apart from this, candidates must have studied English and any one local language (Assamese, Bengali, Bodo) as a subject in HLSC. Along with this, one should have knowledge of computer.

The minimum age of the applicants has been fixed at 21 years and maximum age at 40 years, which will be calculated as on January 1, 2026. At the same time, candidates coming from reserved category will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per rules.

Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of stages like screening of applications, merit list, etc., after which the basic salary of the selected candidates will be between Rs 14,000 to 70,000, with grade pay of Rs 5,600 per month. Apart from this, other benefits and allowances will also be given to the candidates.
