Rahul's security personnel pushed CM Shivkumar, BJP said…

Bengaluru. The BJP on Tuesday raised questions over Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s security personnel pushing Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar during a protest march in Delhi and the respect given to a sitting chief minister by his own party leadership.

“This is how Rahul Gandhi treats a sitting Chief Minister. No respect, no respect, just Congress-style insults,” the BJP said in its post.

Karnataka BJP president and MLA Vijayendra also criticized the Congress leadership while sharing the video. He raised the question that despite holding the post of Chief Minister, what kind of respect and honor does Shiv Kumar receive from the high command of the party.

Vijayendra said, “You can roam around the state and say whatever you want, but how much respect and dignity you get in the corridors of your high command is a matter of public knowledge all over the world!”

He said that Shivkumar is as indispensable to the Congress high command as he believes, it is not a matter of BJP. However, he said that insulting a Kannada speaking person sitting on the Chief Minister’s chair is a matter of pride for the Kannada speaking people.

Taking a dig at Shivakumar, Vijayendra asked, “Have you preserved enough self-respect to tell your high command about this?”

Meanwhile, while answering the questions of journalists in Bengaluru on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara said it is challenging to manage security arrangements during protests and large gatherings.

He said that he had faced similar situations while participating in protests in the past and also said that controlling the crowd is not easy. Parameshwara said ensuring the security of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi is the primary responsibility of the personnel deployed there and preventing unauthorized access to him is part of the security protocol. “Unfortunately, the Chief Minister was also there at that time and he got a slight shock amidst the crowd,” he said.
