Mirzapur. An 18-year-old girl, resident of a village in Chilh police station area, reached a village in Aurai police station area on Wednesday to meet her lover. Even after waiting for a long time, when her lover did not come and her mobile was switched off, the girl climbed a nearby mobile tower. On receiving the information, the police arrived with the help of local people and after hours of efforts, brought the girl down safely and called her family and handed her over to them.
According to the information, the girl had a phone conversation with her lover in the morning. It is said that there was a discussion between the two regarding marriage. The lover had called her to meet. After reaching the designated place, the girl waited for a long time, but the lover did not arrive. After this she climbed the mobile tower about 50 feet high. On the information of the local people, the police reached the spot and after convincing the girl, she brought her down. Station in-charge Chilh Bharat Upadhyay said that the girl is from the Chilh police station area while the incident site is from Aurai police station area. After handing over the case to the Aurai police, the Chilh police returned.
