Mumbai Police has got a big success in the firing case related to actor Tiger Shroff. The Crime Branch had formed about 20 special teams to investigate the case. The police traced the activities of the accused with the help of CCTV footage, technical analysis and field work. After this, three accused were arrested with the help of Delhi and Rajasthan Police. Crime Branch DCP Raj Tilak Roshan held a press conference on October 19 at 5:30 pm and shared important information related to the investigation of the case.
Clue of accused found through CCTV and technical investigation
According to DCP Raj Tilak Roshan, during the incident, three people had come on a bike, two of whom opened fire and then fled from the spot. During the investigation, the police first traced the bike used in the crime. The bike was found near Andheri West Railway Station, in the area of Andheri Police Station.
After this, the police traced the route of the three accused with the help of CCTV footage and technical evidence. Investigation revealed that the accused first went towards North Mumbai and then reached Surat. Police got information that they had overtaken the Pune-Jaipur Express. The teams also identified the train and the coach of the accused, which helped in their arrest.
All three accused are adults, weapons have not been recovered yet
Police clarified that all three arrested accused are adults. There was discussion about one of the accused being a minor in the case, but the DCP rejected it. He also said that at present no weapon has been recovered from the arrested accused.
According to the police, after the firing the accused were present around the spot for about 15 minutes. The evidence and other aspects revealed during this period are also being investigated.
Investigation into Bishnoi gang’s post continues
During the press conference, the DCP also reacted to the post that appeared on social media in the name of Bishnoi gang. He said that the post is yet to be verified and at present the motive behind the incident is not clear. Police are also investigating this aspect.
DCP said that Anti Extortion Cell is also busy investigating the case. The police is trying to find out whether there is any big conspiracy behind the incident and what is the role of people other than the arrested accused in it.
Case registered under attempt to murder and Arms Act
DCP Raj Tilak Roshan said that currently sections under attempt to murder and Arms Act have been imposed in the case. If the involvement of other people comes to light as the investigation progresses, action will be taken against them also.
He also said that the police are conducting the investigation following the prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and old court orders. Whether Tiger Shroff had received any threatening call before the incident or not, this aspect is also being investigated. Mumbai Police says that at present three accused are arrested and they are being preliminary interrogated. Further action will be taken on the basis of new facts emerging in the investigation and possible accused.
