New Delhi. The weather patterns are changing rapidly in the entire National Capital Region (NCR) including Delhi. While on one hand the minimum temperature is falling, on the other hand the air quality is also continuously deteriorating. Due to falling temperature, slight cold has started being felt in the morning and evening. The pollution level is increasing day by day, which has increased the concern. According to the local weather reports and forecasts of the Indian Meteorological Department, the temperature will drop further in the coming days. On October 20, the maximum temperature is likely to be 32 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be 18 degrees Celsius.
On October 21 and 22, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 19 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be mainly clear these days, although it may remain partly cloudy on October 24 and 25. With the change in weather, the air of Delhi-NCR is becoming poisonous. According to the data of Air Quality Management Commission, pollution in Loni area of Ghaziabad has crossed the danger mark (Red Zone). The air quality index here has been recorded at 309, which falls in the ‘very poor’ category. If we talk about other areas of Ghaziabad, they are also badly affected. Web City’s AQI has been recorded at 217, Sanjay Nagar’s 204, Vasundhara’s 203 and Indirapuram’s 195.
In many areas of the capital Delhi, pollution has reached close to the red mark. If we look at the figures, Bawana area is most affected, where AQI is 237. The air quality in the Knowledge Park area of Greater Noida is also worrying. AQI of Knowledge Park-3 has been recorded at 235 and AQI of Knowledge Park-5 has been recorded at 201. In view of the increasing level of pollution, health experts have advised to be cautious. Especially the elderly, children and people suffering from asthma or respiratory diseases should avoid leaving their homes. Even if you have to go out, use a mask compulsorily. Mild cold in the morning and pollution can lead to smog conditions, which can reduce visibility.
