Abu Dhabi T10 League will start, Jiostar gets broadcasting rights

Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi T10 League has taken a big step towards expanding its reach in the Indian subcontinent. The tournament organizers have handed over the broadcast rights for the 2026 season to JioStar.

Under this, all 32 matches of the tournament will be telecast live on Star Sports’ television network, while the matches can be watched on digital medium on JioHotstar.

According to the organizers, the partnership aims to increase the reach of the tournament in India, the world’s largest cricket market, and connect more fans to the fastest format of cricket. This agreement with JioStar is an important part of Abu Dhabi T10’s global expansion strategy.

32 matches will be played in 13 days
The 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 will be held from November 7 to 20 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. A total of 32 matches will be played in the tournament. In this, three matches each will be organized for six days and two matches each for seven days.

The official player selection event for the tournament was held on 30 September in Abu Dhabi, with many of cricket’s leading international players set to attend.

Reach of audience will increase in India
Matt Boushey, Chief Executive Officer, Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub and Abu Dhabi T10, said India has been the largest and most enthusiastic market for the tournament. The partnership with JioStar will provide an opportunity to reach more audiences in the Indian subcontinent.

He said expansion of the broadcast network is important in the long-term development strategy of the tournament. Organizers aim to establish the Abu Dhabi T10 as a premier sporting and entertainment event globally.

Prashant Khanna, head of sports rights and innovation at Jiostar, said the T10 format has received viewer support in India due to its fast pace. JioStar’s extensive reach will help Abu Dhabi T10 reach new fans across the country.

Apart from the live telecast, JioStar will also launch initiatives such as exclusive content, behind-the-scenes player activities and digital features to enhance viewer engagement during the tournament. These efforts are aimed at bringing fans closer to the matches and the players.

According to organizers, the 2025 edition had recorded more than 527 million views on social media and had a broadcast value of US$512 million. The new broadcast deal is expected to increase viewership and engagement for the 2026 edition.

The event’s global expansion plans have also gained momentum after Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub took majority ownership and commercial rights to the tournament this year.

Organizers say efforts are underway to establish the Abu Dhabi T10 among the world’s premier cricket events through strong institutional support, international player participation and extensive broadcast arrangements.
