Anuppur. The bike collided with a truck parked on the roadside of Podi-Chodi petrol pump in Bhalumada police station area of Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.
In the accident, bike rider Anup Singh died on the spot, while Balendra Singh sitting behind was seriously injured. Local people took the injured to Community Health Center (CHC), Kotma where treatment is going on. Police reached the spot and started investigation.
Police station in-charge Radhika Bhagat said that the deceased Anup Singh was a resident of Darsagar. Injured Balendra Singh, father Jhudhu Singh, is 45 years old and lives in Darsagar. His condition is serious. After first treatment he will be sent to another hospital.
Kotma BMO Dr. KL Dewan told that Balendra has suffered a head injury. He was brought to CHC Kotma at 8:30 pm. After his condition becomes stable, he will be sent to another hospital.
The truck was carrying ash from the Moser Baer power plant and for some reason was standing on the roadside. According to the police, the bike riders were going to their home in Darsagar from Chukan.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and started investigation. Police are collecting information from the truck driver and are trying to restore traffic. Police said that there is a crowd of people at the spot. Information is also being taken from the relatives of the deceased.
