Deepti Sharma breaks Jhulan Goswami record, becomes highest wicket-taker across formats in international women’s cricket

India’s premier all-rounder Deepti Sharma added another record to her tally, this time going past former India captain Jhulan Goswami for the most wickets across formats in international women’s cricket.

Deepti picked her 356th wicket during India’s Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 match against Australia when she removed Beth Mooney in the 10th over of the match.

This was the Agra player’s 168th wicket in the shortest format, adding to her 22 and 166 scalps in Tests and ODIs respectively.

In the match against the Netherlands, Deepti had equalled Jhulan’s record after she removed Dutch opener Phebe Molkenboer.
