The Hundred is set to introduce a fifth overseas player to its squads from the start of next season.
According to a report in Cricinfo, the league will likely accomodate five foreign players in the squad, an increase from four. The quota had already seen an increase from three to four in the 2026 season.
The increase from three to five in recent years is to provide cover for franchises struggling with unavailability of overseas players due to injuries or international commitments.
The league was introduced in 2021 with six seasons completed. Trent Rockets won the 2026 women’s edition, while Manchester Super Giants won the men’s league.
