Smriti Mandhana strengthened her position as the top five ranked T20I batter after her 124-run knock against Hong Kong in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup on Tuesday.
Mandhana’s knock helped India secure a 137-run win and a place in the semifinals of the continental tournament. During that innings, she also became the all-time leading run-scorer (10,880 runs) in the women’s internationals across formats.
After her 18th international century, Mandhana is just 12 rating points away from No.4 Hayley Mathews of West Indies.
All-rounder Deepti Sharma also made significant progress in the T20I rankings, moving to the sixth spot among bowlers while she continues to hold her fifth rank in the all-rounders’ list.
