Ranji Trophy: As the Indian domestic cricket season begins, a very bad news has come to light for the cricket fans and players of Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal Pradesh team will not be able to play its first match against Nagaland in Ranji Trophy Plate Division. This match was to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from 11 October. Not only Ranji, but Arunachal Pradesh team is also completely out of its first match of CK Nayudu Trophy starting against Meghalaya. BCCI has also officially confirmed that these matches will not be played.
Cricket Association's internal fight reaches court
According to the report of Cricbuzz, the players have to suffer this huge loss due to internal disputes between the state cricket boards. Actually, there is a fierce dispute going on between two groups regarding the elections of Arunachal Cricket Association (ARCA). Many district cricket associations have alleged irregularities in the elections, after which the entire matter has now reached the Itanagar bench of the Gauhati High Court.
Arunachal Pradesh will miss their season opener against Nagaland in the Ranji Trophy Plate division, scheduled to begin October 11 in Ahmedabad. They will also miss their CK Nayudu season opener against Meghalaya, starting October 12.

Stuck in trouble due to lack of selection committee
Due to the pending case in the court and stay order imposed, no legitimate organization is able to function in the state cricket association at present. The result was that Arunachal Pradesh team could not be selected for the tournament. The team's senior player Techi Neri has also confirmed that they are still stuck in Itanagar and the team has not even been selected. No preparation camp could be organized for the players.
Crisis on players' career and livelihood
The biggest brunt of this internal feud and legal battle among the officials of the association is being borne by the young and professional players, who have nothing to do with this dispute. Players say that cricket is their only means of livelihood. Due to this administrative crisis, junior cricket has also been affected and the state's Under-19 team could not participate in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy.
