After this, Pakistani security system fears that Saeed may also become the target of some attack. For this reason the security cordon around it has been strengthened.

In the report, quoting the assessment of Indian intelligence agencies, it has been said that after the recent security review, the number of security personnel deployed around Hafiz Saeed has been increased. The people of Lashkar-e-Taiba who come to meet him also have to go through strict investigation and security process. It is being told that the fear of threat against him has increased significantly in recent months. Due to this, his movement has also been extremely limited.
It has been claimed that this security arrangement will be made more stringent after the trial against him started in India. According to the report, the process of legal action against him is progressing in absentia in India.
Ban on leaving the house after Operation Sindoor?
The report claims that after Operation Sindoor, concerns about the safety of Hafiz Saeed increased in Pakistan. According to Indian intelligence assessment, following the alleged attack attempts on him, the ISI has almost completely banned his exit. It is said that this will also impact the activities of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Earlier, Saeed used to attend programs, training camps and meetings related to the organization and address the cadre. But now due to security reasons, it has been claimed that his personal presence in these activities is quite limited.
Questions about where Hafiz Saeed is
Different claims have emerged regarding the current location of Hafiz Saeed. Pakistan’s official stance is that he is lodged in Kot Lakhpat Jail of Lahore since 2019. At the same time, the IANS report, quoting the assessment of Indian security agencies, has claimed that he has been kept in a safe place located in Mohalla Johar area of Lahore.
According to the report, if the threat level increases, he can be taken to another safe place in Mian Mir Cantonment area. These claims have not been independently verified, but they certainly raise questions about Saeed’s actual status.
Attempt to strengthen Lashkar’s network again
Saeed’s security has been increased at a time when reports claim efforts by Lashkar-e-Taiba to reactivate and strengthen its network. During Operation Sindoor, it came to light that a major hideout of the organization located in Muridke was targeted. According to officials, information has been received about resumption of activities of organization meetings and camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Earlier, Saeed was directly involved in these, but due to increased security threat, now his contacts are said to be limited.
