There are allegations that the actress lured an NRI on the pretext of marriage, during which she extorted money from him, but later reneged on the marriage. The victim has filed an FIR against him. However, the actress has termed these allegations as completely baseless and warned of legal action.

In this case, a person named Dharmendra has complained, who is a native of Hyderabad and works as a software engineer in the UK. Dharmendra has filed a complaint alleging that Ashu Reddy cheated his son of crores of rupees by promising him marriage.
According to the complaint, Dharmendra and Ashu met in the year 2018 through some common friends. It is alleged that within some time Ashu expressed his love for her and promised to marry her. After this Dharmendra bought expensive cars, gold and properties in his name.
It is being told that in 2020, when Dharmendra talked about the families meeting, Ashu broke the relationship without any apparent reason. After this Dharmendra demanded the return of the money he had spent.

Attempt to compromise and new allegations
It has also come to light that actress Hema has become a mediator in the case. It is alleged that Ashu had promised to return ₹70 lakh, but later tore the blank cheques.
The complaint also claims that between 2020 and 2025, Ashu and his family continuously obtained money, property and other valuables on the promise of marriage. The family has also been accused of “honey trap”.
Not only this, Ashu’s threat to implicate Dharmendra in a false case in December 2025 has also been mentioned in the complaint. Later it was also alleged that Ashu was in a relationship with another man. On this basis, the police have registered a case in 2026 and started investigation.
Ashu Reddy denied the allegations
As soon as the matter became public, Ashu Reddy gave his reaction through social media. She wrote on Instagram that she will take strict legal action against any false information being spread without her permission.
