New Delhi . The allegations of CJP leaders receiving funding from abroad have further intensified the political controversy. CJP co-founder Ashutosh Ranka has reacted sharply to the allegations made by Union Minister Jitendra Singh. He raised the question that if the leaders of the organization were getting money from foreign sources, then why was the Union Minister in touch with them at that time? Ranka said that Jitendra Singh should clarify why he was meeting him and why he sat together and had tea and breakfast during the talks.
While talking to journalists, Ranka said that there are many serious issues in the country, but instead of answering them, government ministers are repeatedly raising the issue of foreign funding. According to him, allegations of getting funding from Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh are being repeated continuously, while the problems facing the country are not being discussed.
He said that even at the time of the beginning of CJP's movement, the organization was accused that 95 percent of its accounts were being operated from Pakistan. Ranka raised questions on these claims and said that an old political agenda is being carried forward through such allegations. He claimed that the government does not have answers to the country's current problems and hence the issue of foreign funding is brought up again and again.
Referring to issues like alleged vote theft, electoral process and unemployment in the country, Ranka asked why the government does not respond to these matters. He also raised questions about Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and asked why the government was trying to save him. Apart from this, he also sought answers on the incidents of paper leak and employment related challenges faced by the youth.
Ranka once again mentioned the meetings he had with Union Minister Jitendra Singh. He said that if CJP was getting foreign funding, then why were ministers holding meetings with him and sharing tea and snacks during talks. उनके अनुसार, इन सवालों का जवाब मंत्री को देना चाहिए।
In fact, Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Tuesday had accused CJP founder Abhijit Deepke and co-founder Ashutosh Ranka of receiving funding from foreign sources. He had claimed that Deepke had received money from America and Ranka from Pakistan. The minister had also alleged that anti-India organizations and foreign-funded groups, including leaders of Pakistan, were funding the campaign against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He had also accused some people calling themselves workers of creating a false narrative.
CJP founder Abhijeet Deepke also reacted to these allegations. He raised questions on social media from where Sourav was getting funding. In another post, he raised questions on Jitendra Singh and asked how much commission he took from the alleged foreign funding to remove Dharmendra Pradhan from the post. Deepke also mentioned the presence of Jitendra Singh at the negotiating table.
In this controversy, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra also targeted BJP. He claimed that instead of getting money from foreign organizations, CJP workers have talked about getting funds from BJP through electoral bonds. According to Moitra, Ashutosh Ranka, Saurav and other members of the organization have admitted to receiving funds from BJP. He sarcastically said that it is the BJP which is giving money to CJP.
In this way, the controversy that started regarding foreign funding has now reached many political questions and allegations being leveled against each other. However, independent verification of the claims made in these statements has not emerged.
