Kolkata Police: The alleged actions of a policeman during Durga Puja in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, have raised questions on the security arrangements. An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) on duty at the city's famous Suruchi Sangha Durga Puja pandal has been accused of inappropriately touching female volunteers.

There was a stir in the police department after the video of the incident surfaced. According to the report, the accused policeman has been arrested and legal action has been initiated against him.
According to the information, this incident happened when women volunteers were present in the Durga Puja pandal. It is alleged that the armed ASI deployed there behaved inappropriately with a woman volunteer. In the video that surfaced, the policeman is seen placing his hand on the woman's shoulder in a dirty manner. There is immense anger being expressed regarding this incident on social media and at the local level.

Durga Puja is one of the most prominent festivals of West Bengal. During this time, a large number of devotees reach the pandals. Policemen are deployed to control the crowd and ensure the safety of people. In such a situation, it has become a matter of serious concern that such allegations are being leveled against the employee who is responsible for security.
According to the report, after the incident came to light, Kolkata Police took action and arrested the accused ASI. Further legal process is going on in the matter. However, the complete picture of the incident will be clear only after investigation of all aspects related to the allegations.
Meanwhile, the Durga Puja pandal of Suruchi Sangh is also in the news for its special theme. This year the theme of the pandal is said to be based on the 125th birth anniversary of Jan Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee. An attempt has been made to reflect his life and political legacy through decoration.
