The Indian team, which was undefeated in the entire tournament, has defended its gold medal in the Asian Games for the first time. With this victory, captain Harmanpreet Singh has become the first Indian captain to win gold in two consecutive Asian Games. Besides, India has also qualified for Olympics 2028.

India took the lead in the first quarter

In the 54th minute, Abhishek made a brilliant run from the baseline and gave an accurate pass to Shilanand Lakra, which Lakra converted into a goal. After this, captain Harmanpreet scored another powerful drag-flick on the penalty corner in the 57th minute, making the score 5-1 and giving India a spectacular victory.
