Asian Games: India won another medal in shooting, women's skeet team won bronze

India has won the sixth medal in shooting in the Asian Games 2026 being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The women's skeet team won the bronze medal on Wednesday (September 23). The trio of Maheshwari Chauhan, Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Raija Dhillon finished third with a total score of 331. China won the gold medal. His team scored a total of 357 points. Kazakhstan won the silver medal with 336 points.

 

Raiza and Parinaaz have also qualified for the individual finals of this event. The individual finals will be held today itself. Raiza and Parinaaz will try their best to get double medal.

 

The Indian shooting team had earlier won 4 silver and 1 bronze. Now the skeet team has taken the number of shooting medals to 6 by getting bronze. If we talk about total medals in India's account so far, its number is 8. The women's cricket team won the gold medal on Tuesday. Whereas Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Suchika Tariyal got bronze.

Jai Meena confirmed historic bronze

Jai Meena has created history by securing a bronze medal in soft tennis. This is India's first medal in soft tennis in the Asian Games. Jai Meena defeated Sherwin Nuguit of Philippines 4-3 in the quarter-finals. Jay was trailing 3-5 in the final game. After this, he made a tremendous comeback and secured a medal by winning 4 consecutive points and making it to the semi-finals.
