Assistant Commissioner and Registrar inspected various wheat purchasing centers of the district, gave instructions for timely and transparent purchase.

Assistant Commissioner and Assistant Registrar Sonbhadra Devendra Kumar Singh inspected Koriyanv and Gayaratwal wheat purchasing centers on Monday. During inspection, 416 quintals of paddy were purchased in Koriyav and no weighing was found at the time of inspection. Expressing displeasure over the poor cleanliness condition at the centre, the Assistant Commissioner directed center in-charge Kaushal Singh to improve it. Chairs were found for the farmers to sit but due to the laxity of the assistant Jokhu, everything looked chaotic. At Gayaratwal BPAX, the total purchase was found to be 621.50 quintals. Farmer Rajkumar’s wheat was being weighed on the spot. Seeing the dirt at the center and heaps of wheat scattered at many places in the premises, the Assistant Commissioner warned the center in-charge Mahendra Singh Patel.

In the same sequence, the Assistant Commissioner also inspected the wheat purchasing centers open in Ramgarh BPAX and Sodha BPAX. He cautioned the center in-charges Amit Kumar Gautam and Amit Singh to ensure timely and transparent procurement of wheat. In case of deviation from the purchasing policy, legal action will be taken against the concerned center in-charge. The Assistant Commissioner directed to make arrangements for cold drinking water for the farmers at all the centres. He said that large clay pots should be installed at all the centres. Make sure to keep clean water in the pitchers. He warned that all center in-charges will ensure that farmers do not face any problem at the centre.

The Assistant Commissioner directed the concerned Additional District Cooperative Officer and Assistant Development Officer to ensure all the arrangements by continuously inspecting the purchasing centers. District Manager PCF should also complete all the arrangements as per rules. During the inspection, Assistant Statistical Officer Alok Kumar Shekhar, Secretary Mahendra Kumar Singh, Saurabh Singh, Amit Kumar Gautam, Amit Kumar Singh, Kaushal Singh, Jokhu etc. employees were present.
