The Ministry of External Affairs has expressed grief over the death of the Indian sailor. Not only that, they also strongly condemned the attack. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote, ‘The ship was attacked while passing over the Black Sea on July 18. An Indian sailor was killed. We are saddened by this incident.’ The Ministry of External Affairs also wrote, ‘India strongly condemns the actions of targeting commercial ships and endangering the lives of innocent seafarers. Freedom of navigation and international trade are increasingly under threat, which is a matter of great concern.’
