Attempt to enter BSF camp, suspect arrested, contact with Pakistani numbers revealed

Rajasthan News: Before Independence Day, security agencies have arrested a suspect in Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan. A person who was trying to enter the camp of 163rd battalion of BSF located in Raisinghnagar without permission was caught by the soldiers on the spot. The accused was trying to enter the campus by climbing the camp wall.

The soldiers caught him on the spot and handed him over to the police.

According to the BSF report, on August 9, 2026, at around 6:05 pm, Subhash Chander, son of Govind Ram, resident of village 02 FF, was trying to enter inside the camp by climbing the wall. The soldiers on duty immediately caught him. After this, he was given medical treatment at Raisinghnagar CHC and the accused was handed over to the police. Based on the BSF report, Raisinghnagar police has registered a case and started investigation.

Contact with Pakistani numbers in mobile investigation

Preliminary investigation of the mobile phone and call details of the accused has revealed that he is in contact with several mobile numbers having country code +92 of Pakistan. During investigation, records of calls and messages being made several times on these numbers have been found. In view of these contacts, security agencies are taking the matter seriously.

Fear of gathering military information

According to sources related to Army Intelligence, it is feared that the accused could have entered the BSF camp and tried to obtain information or photographs related to military activities and send them to Pakistan. However, due to the alertness of the soldiers, he could not succeed in entering inside the camp.

Security agencies alert regarding Independence Day

Security agencies are already on high alert in view of Independence Day. Special surveillance is being maintained on suspicious activities in Sriganganagar district adjacent to the India-Pakistan international border. After the information about the attempt to enter the camp and contact with Pakistani numbers came to light, all the concerned agencies are investigating the matter in depth.

Many Pakistani contacts in call details

According to the call records revealed during the investigation, in November 2025, calls were made from the mobile phone of the accused to several numbers having +92 code from Pakistan. These include records of incoming and outgoing calls as well as messages. Some calls were not received, while some conversations lasted for several minutes. Security agencies are conducting further investigation to gather complete information about these contacts.

JIC will also interrogate the accused

Considering the seriousness of the case, the Joint Interrogation Center (JIC) will also interrogate the accused. Security agencies are trying to find out what was the reason for the accused’s contact with Pakistani numbers and whether he has any connection with any espionage network or suspicious activities.
