Attempt to kidnap young man in land dispute, allegation of forcing him into car at gunpoint

A sensational case of attempted kidnapping of a youth over a land dispute has come to light in Neemra village of Kadirganj police station area under Masaurhi sub-division. The victim Ravikant Kumar has filed an application in the police station demanding action against the four named and one unknown person.

Victim Ravikant Kumar, father Gopal Sharma, told that at around 10 pm on May 19, he was returning from a birthday party organized in the village. Meanwhile, Neemra resident Vipin Kumar alias Chandan Kumar, Shankar Kumar, Roshan Kumar (all three father Brij Kishore Singh) and Monu Kumar, resident of Dongra, Jehanabad, who were ambushed on the way, forcibly caught him.

Ravi alleges that Vipin Kumar tried to forcibly make him sit in a four-wheeler by pointing a pistol at his temple. An unknown person was also sitting in the vehicle. When he protested, all the accused beat him up.

Hearing the noise, nearby villagers started gathering at the spot, after which all the accused fled along with the vehicle.

Ravikant Kumar told that he has an old land dispute going on with the accused and he has been threatened in the past also.

Kadirganj police station has registered a case on the basis of the application and started investigation.
