‘Attempt to make Bengal a part of Pakistan’, PM Modi’s big allegation on Congress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his two-day West Bengal tour on Saturday. During this, he participated in the ‘Paschimbang Day’ celebration at Tarakeshwar in Hooghly district. At the event, Modi released the 23rd installment of the PM-Kisan scheme worth Rs 18,880 crore, benefiting more than 9.44 crore farmers across India.

 

Regarding the new BJP government formed in Bengal, he said that there is a new freshness in the air of Bengal, as if the state is now free from the shackles. The PM said that the BJP government has started working very fast for the development of Bengal.

Congress had surrendered – Modi

Attacking the Congress at a rally in Tarakeshwar, Prime Minister Modi said that when efforts were being made to make the entire Bengal a part of Pakistan, the Congress had surrendered before the conspiratorial forces. He said the previous TMC government in Bengal had stopped land transfer for border fencing, a process which had started during the tenure of the current government.

 

 

 

‘Those who looted the money are now returning it’

He also said that the people who had looted public money in Bengal are now returning it and are being sent to jail. Said, ‘We have seen how the previous governments worked. They pushed Bengal back and made it a land of migration. At the time of partition, Congress had left Bengal orphan and after independence pursued appeasement politics.

West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari welcomed the Prime Minister at the event. He also paid tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee and announced to install a 125 feet tall statue of him in Kolkata on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh.
