AUS vs BAN 2nd Test : After the defeat in the Darwin Test, the team led by Pat Cummins was criticized all around. Former veteran players of the team also raised sharp questions. But, the Bangladesh team would not have any idea that the second test would be like a nightmare for them. In fact, in the Mackay Test, the Bangladesh team could not stand against the Australian bowlers even for two days and the host team showed complete dominance and won by an innings and 51 runs.

It was the biggest win in the Darwin Test for Bangladesh since its debut in international cricket in 1986. They had become the fastest team to defeat Australia at home, but their tour ended in a disappointing manner. Australia made a strong comeback in Mackay and did not allow Bangladesh to even reach the score of 100 in two innings. On a fast and bouncy pitch, Bangladesh team was bundled out for 64 runs in the first innings and 95 runs in the second innings. But the last few weeks have proved the capability of Bangladesh's bowling attack.
Thanks to the brilliant performance of Australian bowlers, especially Mitchell Starc (12 wickets in two matches), the host team was successful in drawing the series 1-1. But, there are still question marks over their batting line-up. They are leading the table in the World Test Championship, but they have to face difficult matches in the next few months. First there will be a tour of South Africa, then a tour of New Zealand on home ground and then a tour of India.
