Ayodhya Case: What is Panna No. 6, regarding which Sanjay Singh is raising questions on SIT investigation?

Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Thursday made a big claim in the case of alleged offerings and corruption related to Ram Mandir Trust. During a press conference at the party headquarters in Lucknow, he made public the allegedly missing page number 6 of the report of the previously constituted SIT. Sanjay Singh claimed that in this page, serious comments have been made on the role of Dr. Anil Mishra regarding the circumstances of theft and embezzlement in the temple. He raised the question that when the responsibility of the officials has been fixed in the report, then how can Anil Mishra and Champat Rai be given a clean chit. These allegations have not been independently verified.

Sanjay Singh, quoting the alleged Special Investigation Report (SIT), said in the press conference that 70 thefts took place in the temple within 40 days and about Rs 81 lakh was recovered. He claims that the report also mentions the change in the rules agreed with the bank and the circumstances that arose thereafter. He said that if these incidents and responsibilities are mentioned in the SIT report, then questions also arise on the basis of giving clean chit to someone later. Sanjay Singh has demanded an impartial investigation into this entire matter.

Big claim made regarding Panna No. 6

According to Sanjay Singh, page number 6 was present in the report of the SIT headed by Vijay Vishwas Pant, but later this page was made missing. He claimed that now he has got this page in his hands and on the basis of this he has raised many questions. He says that in the said page there is mention of Dr. Anil Mishra relaxing the rules fixed with the bank. Sanjay Singh claimed that due to this, situations of theft and embezzlement arose in the temple.

Allegation of commission in construction works also

Sanjay Singh alleged that the matter is not limited to land transactions or offerings only. He also alleged irregularities in the works related to the construction of the temple. Quoting engineer Dinanath Verma, he accused Anil Mishra of taking 40-40 percent commission in construction works. He questioned the Central and State Governments that if such serious allegations and documents have come to light then why is the entire matter not being investigated impartially.

Talk of handing over 26 documents to SIT

Sanjay Singh told that he has sent a letter and email to the current SIT Chairman Kiran S and asked for an appointment. He says that he wants to hand over a total of 26 documents to the SIT. These include 13 new documents in addition to the 13 documents given earlier. He said that these documents contain important facts and evidence related to the case. Sanjay Singh warned that if a fair investigation is not conducted on the basis of these documents, he will approach the Supreme Court with all the documents.

Questions also raised regarding land deal

The MP also raised questions regarding a land deal related to Ram temple. He claimed that the deal to buy land worth about Rs 2 crores for Rs 18.5 crores was signed within a few minutes and this has the signature of Champat Rai and the testimony of Anil Mishra. Calling it a big example of alleged corruption, he demanded an investigation into the entire deal.

Sanjay Singh said that on August 17, the Supreme Court expressed displeasure over the delay in the investigation and sought a status report from the SIT. He alleged that during this period, reports of the accused getting clean chit appeared in the media. Sanjay Singh described this as an incident that raises questions on the investigation process.

Warning to go to Supreme Court if fair investigation is not done

Sanjay Singh said that he will not let the issue of alleged corruption and irregularities in offerings related to Ram temple be suppressed. He said that the documents in his possession will be given to the SIT and fair action is expected from the investigating agency. If these documents are not included in the investigation, he will take them to the Supreme Court. At present, independent confirmation of Sanjay Singh's claims and the pages of the alleged SIT report has not come to light. In such a situation, investigation of the allegations made by him and the authenticity of the related documents will be important in this case.
