Ram Mandir Row: A highly influential officer, who had been in Ayodhya for 17 years, was transferred, know who is Arjun Dev Singh

Ram Mandir Row: The case of theft of offerings in the famous Ram temple complex of Ayodhya has now taken a new turn. On the basis of the report of the Special Investigation Team i.e. SIT, which is investigating this entire matter, a huge action has been seen. An influential officer, who has been serving in the temple complex for the last 17 years, has finally been transferred. This officer is none other than Arjun Dev Singh, Radio Maintenance Officer of the Wireless Department. After the failure of the SIT, he has now been removed from Ayodhya and sent to Gorakhpur. There has been a stir in the entire department since this action, because Arjun Dev Singh’s connection with Ayodhya was considered very old and strong.

Questions raised on security arrangements of 1600 cameras

Arjun Dev Singh had a very important responsibility related to the security arrangements of the Ram Temple complex. He was handling the entire responsibility of monitoring about 1600 CCTV cameras and wireless system installed in the temple premises for security purposes. The biggest thing is that he was also responsible for watching the CCTV cameras of the room where the offerings of Ram Temple were counted. The most serious questions have been raised regarding this very thing in the investigation report of the SIT.

Investigation has revealed that when such a big theft was being committed in the temple premises, then why the role of CCTV control room remained doubtful. Along with this, why the footage of the alleged theft was not kept safe has also turned the needle of suspicion towards the officer.

Allegation of interfering in other works of the trust

Many more shocking revelations have come to light in the SIT investigation regarding the functioning of the officer. According to the report, instead of fulfilling his real responsibilities, Arjun Dev Singh was very active in other works of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. From giving darshan to the VVIP guests coming to the temple, he had direct involvement in other administrative works of the complex. This is the reason why he has come under complete investigation after the theft incident. So far eight people have been arrested in this case and the police is now busy connecting the links of this entire network, so that it can be clear who else was involved in this game.

What is the secret of staying in Ayodhya for 17 years?

Arjun Dev Singh was posted in Ayodhya since 2009. It is a big thing in itself for the same officer to remain at such a sensitive and important place for 17 years. According to the information, orders for his transfer were issued several times during this period, but every time some reason or the other came to light and his transfer was stopped or postponed. Some time ago he was also transferred to Lucknow, but that order was also cancelled.

Transfer took place in 2024 also

Even in the year 2024, when the Pran Pratishtha program of Ram temple was taking place, he was transferred. But at that time that order was stopped on the request of the Trust and some senior officials. Now the SIT is also deeply investigating what was the reason due to which Arjun Dev Singh remained stuck in the same district for so many years and how his influence remained so strong. At present he has left for Gorakhpur from Ayodhya.
