Ayushman Bharat to enroll in welfare camp? Keep these documents with you
Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari has spoken. The state has joined Ayushman India of the Center before a month and a half of the transition in Bengal. Online application has already started. Public welfare camps have started in the district from today i.e. Monday. Citizens can apply for multiple projects of the state there. Ayushman Bharat is also in that list. But there are still many questions in the mind of the people of Bengal about this project of the Centre. The key questions are both who will benefit, what will be required in the application. Let’s find out today.
Who is eligible to apply?
- Those whose annual income is less than two and a half lakhs
- Landless and day laborer families
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe families
- Families living in mud and one-room houses
- 16 to 59 years of age with no earning male member in the family
- All above 70 regardless of income
What documents are required?
- Aadhaar Card
- Ration card
- mobile number
- Document for family identification
You can apply for Ayushman India only by taking the above documents to the nearest welfare camp. You can also apply online. Here’s the method.
- First go to the official website of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) (https://abdm.gov.in/)।
- There you will get ‘Apply for ABHA Card Online’ option. Click on it.
- First verify with aadhaar number.
- Enter your personal information.
- Create username and password.
- Generate ABHA ID.
- That’s it, you’re done. Now download the card.

- Free treatment up to Rs.5 lakh per year to eligible families
- No cash is required for hospital admissions listed on the card, i.e. cashless treatment
- Cost of treatment, tests, operations and medicines
- Cost of medicines and tests from 3 days before admission to next 15 days
