Bahrain’s airspace closed after Iran’s missile attack, flights halted in UAE-Kuwait, Dubai flights also canceled on a large scale
After the latest missile attacks by Iran in the Middle East, a huge crisis has arisen in the aviation sector and air travel routes of the whole world. After the war situation in the Persian Gulf, many countries have taken unprecedented and strict precautionary measures keeping international security in mind. According to international media reports, the Bahrain government has completely closed its airspace to civilian aircraft amid the sudden increase in tension in the region. Along with this, aviation services in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait have also been badly affected. On Wednesday morning, the US Army issued a big statement saying that many of Iran’s dangerous missiles fired towards Kuwait and Bahrain either failed due to technical fault or were shot down in the air by state-of-the-art defense systems. Immediately after this attack, the US Air Force entered Iran and launched a devastating counterattack on its military bases. America bombed Iran’s military ground control station on Qeshm Island. US Central Command (CENTCOM), while confirming this retaliatory military action, said that American fighter planes have carried out a massive bombardment on Iran’s Qeshm Island, located near the strategically sensitive Hormuz Strait. In the American attacks, a major military ground control station of Iran present there has been completely destroyed, where a large desalination plant (water desalination plant) was also located. According to US officials, this latest and deadly attack took place after Iran reportedly suddenly unilaterally ended brokered talks with the US regarding extending the ongoing ceasefire. However, US President Donald Trump completely rejected this claim and said in Washington that behind-the-scenes talks between the two countries are still going on. Dozens of planes stranded in the sky of the Persian Gulf, airlines changed their routes. After this dangerous air attack and counter-bombing, the entire airspace around the Persian Gulf has turned into a war zone. Currently, international flights from different countries flying in the sky are either trying to evacuate the passengers safely from the airspace near the Persian Gulf or are diverted and landing at safe places. In view of this direct and terrible threat of war, many leading and renowned airlines around the world have made a historic announcement to completely cancel or suspend their flights to Dubai, Tel Aviv and other major cities of the Middle East with immediate effect. The complete list of flight cancellations by global airlines has come out.
