Automobile desk: Bajaj Auto has launched a new and more advanced version of its popular bike Pulsar N250 in the Indian market. The company has introduced the new Pulsar N250SS at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹ 1,59,406. In this model, the company has made many major changes on the design as well as mechanical and technology front, which the riders are going to like a lot.
The biggest update in this new motorcycle is its engine setup. Bajaj has given it a new and updated 249cc 4-valve engine, which is paired with an electronic throttle body. Apart from this, it also gets a new 6-speed gearbox, which will help a lot in cruising the bike during long rides on the highway. To make gear shifting easier and faster, it is also provided with a bi-directional quickshifter, which allows the rider to change gears without pressing the clutch.
This bike has gone a long way in terms of features also. It has a new 5-inch color TFT instrument cluster, which supports features like Bluetooth connectivity and Google Maps mirroring. This means that now the rider can see the navigation routes on the screen of his bike itself. Apart from this, keeping in mind the daily needs, USB Type-C charging port and completely new switchgear have also been added to it, due to which its cabin or rather the handle bar looks even more premium.
To improve the safety and riding experience, the company has given it five different riding modes – Sport, Road, Rain, Off-Road and Tour. Besides, it also has a traction control system, which prevents the bike's wheels from slipping on wet or slippery roads and keeps the control strong. To make the look of the bike sporty, it has been given gold finish USD front forks, red alloy wheels, new graphics and adjustable clutch and brake levers.
If we talk about the price, then this new version is about ₹ 14,000 costlier than the standard Pulsar N250. However, to compensate for this extra price, the 4-valve engine, 6-speed gearbox, TFT display and advanced electronics that the company has added to it make it a great option in this segment.
