21st February is 'Bengali Language Day'

ABVP acknowledges that Bengali Language Day is celebrated worldwide on February 21, but according to them, its historical background is related to the language in the then East Pakistan and present Bangladesh. The ABVP argues that the Daribhit incident related to the mother tongue in West Bengal, linked to the legacy of literary figures like Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam, should also receive proper commemoration and official recognition.
