Bangkok Fire: Death toll increases due to bar fire, 32 people lost their lives; Questions raised on security arrangements

Bangkok. The death toll in a massive fire incident in a bar in Thailand’s capital Bangkok has increased to 32. According to officials, the death toll has increased after the death of two more injured people admitted to the hospital. According to Erawan Emergency Service Center, more than 70 people have been injured in this accident, while about 30 people are still undergoing treatment in hospitals. Of these, 15 people are admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Bangkok’s biggest fire incident in 17 years

The incident happened late Sunday night at ‘Rong Beer Na Ladphrao’ bar located in the northern part of Bangkok. According to officials, the incident is one of the most serious fire incidents in Bangkok in the last 17 years. It took about half an hour for the fire brigade to control the fire. Due to the magnitude of the fire, many people present in the bar did not get a chance to come out.

Investigation into the cause of the fire continues

The administration has started investigating the cause of the fire. Along with this, it is also being ascertained whether the safety standards and rules were being followed in the bar or not.

The victim’s family arrived for compensation and goods.

The survivors of the accident and the relatives of the deceased reached the police station located near the incident site on Wednesday. He demanded compensation and recorded his statement related to the incident. Many people also reached there to take back their lost belongings. The administration says that after the completion of the investigation, the reasons and safety lapses responsible for the accident will be found out.
