A 3-match T20I series will be played between India and Afghanistan in September next month. This series has been confirmed by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB). The dates for the T20 series have been decided by ACB. Afghanistan Cricket Board has informed that BCCI has also given permission for this series. The hopes of Bangladesh cricket team have got a big blow with the announcement of the dates fixed for the India and Afghanistan T20 series. Due to the busy schedule of the Indian team, India's proposed Bangladesh tour is now considered almost cancelled.
What is the whole matter?
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had planned to host 6 limited overs matches against India between 1 to 13 September, which included a series of 3 T20I and 3 ODI matches, but in the meantime BCCI gave the green signal for the T20I series against Afghanistan to be played from 13 to 17 September. In such a situation, due to the schedule of T20I series between India and Afghanistan, there is a clash of dates, due to which the Indian team's tour of Bangladesh is being considered cancelled.

Why is the schedule clashing?
Team India's schedule for the next few months is going to be very busy. Bangladesh has fixed the dates for the series against India from 1 to 13 September, but the India vs Afghanistan T20I series will also be played from 13 to 17 September. In such a situation, both the series will collide with each other. If Team India goes to Bangladesh, then it will have to play there till 13th September and on the same day or the next day it will have to take the field against Afghanistan at home i.e. in Delhi. In such a situation it is not possible at all. This is the reason why BCCI is not considering accepting this proposal.
Big financial loss for BCB
The cancellation of India's tour of Bangladesh will cause a huge financial loss to the Bangladesh Cricket Board, because BCB earns the most from the matches against Team India.
