A very shameful and sensational incident has come to light from Patna, the capital of Bihar, which has once again raised serious questions on the security system. Here, a case of alleged rape of a 15-year-old minor girl by a male friend of hers in a guest house has come to light. The victim and her family are in deep shock after this incident which tarnishes the relationship of friendship. On the complaint of the family members, the police took immediate action and registered an FIR against the accused and started searching for him.
According to the information received, the accused youth was already acquainted with the victim and he took advantage of this acquaintance. It is being told that the accused, on some pretext, lured the minor and took him to a guest house in Patna, where he committed this heinous crime. After the incident, the scared victim reached home and narrated her ordeal to her family members. After this, the angry family members immediately went to the local police station and lodged a police complaint demanding strict legal action against the accused.
Considering the seriousness and sensitivity of the matter, the police officials have without any delay registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO Act). The police are currently completing the legal process of getting the victim's medical examination done and recording her magisterial statement before the court. Along with this, the investigation team is reaching the concerned guest house and interrogating the staff there and scanning the footage of CCTV cameras, so that concrete technical evidence can be collected against the accused and he can be arrested as soon as possible.
