Middle East War: Even though a ceasefire has come into effect after several months of military conflict between Iran, Israel and America, the actual loss of life in this war is still not clear. More than 7,300 people have died across the Middle East since February, according to official figures, according to a detailed report by BBC Verify. Big difference between government and independent figures

According to the report, the Iranian government has confirmed 3,468 deaths as of mid-April. These include both civilians and military personnel. America-based human rights organization HRANA claims that the death toll is more than 3,636, which includes a large number of women and children. The organization says that not all cases could be documented due to internet shutdowns, government restrictions and limited access to affected areas.

Huge devastation in Lebanon too

According to Lebanon’s health ministry, more than 3,900 people have died since the conflict began. These include women, children and common citizens. On the other hand, Israel says that the target of its campaign was Hezbollah fighters, while Lebanese officials allege that a large number of civilians were killed in the attacks.

Civilians and soldiers of different countries also lost their lives in the attacks on many military bases and civilian areas.

Experts said – the real data may never be revealed

BBC Verify in its report has quoted experts as saying that it is very difficult to determine the exact number of deaths due to internet shutdown during the war, restrictions on media, limited access to the affected areas and claims by different parties.
